Nickelback brings Darkhorse to New England Dodge Music Center in Hartford on 07-25
03-06-09 Nickelback is finally back out on tour, and will be making a rocking stop in Hartford on 07-25
Nickelback is a Canadian rock band that originated in Hanna, Alberta by lead singer Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, and Ryan Peak. The band’s name was originally thought up by band member Mike Kroeger as he gave customers change, often saying “Here’s your nickel back”. Nickelback released their first full-length album called CURB, “Fly” being the first single for the band. Nickelback did not find success with their first two albums but finally in 2001 Nickelback released their third album titled Silver Side Up, launching Nickelback into the spotlight. “How You Remind Me” was the first single off their album, and was a huge success in the US peaking the charts at #1 on both American and Canadian charts. Later the next year, this single became the Billboard Hot 100 #1 single for 2002. The album produced 3 singles, all topping the charts at the #1 spot. In 2003, Nickelback released their fourth studio album entitled The Long Road, featuring the hit single “Someday”. All the Right Reasons, Nickelback ‘s fifth studio album, produced five huge singles including “Photograph”, “Savin’ Me”, “Far Away”, “If Everyone Cared”, and “Rockstar”. Three of the five became U.S. Hot 100 top 10 singles, re-launching Nickelback back to the top. Nickelback released their newest album, Darkhorse, on November 18, 2008. “Gotta Be Somebody” and “Something in Your Mouth” are the first two singles released off the album.
