01-27-09 Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, of Irish-Italian ancestory, grew up in Freehold, New Jersey, the son of a bus driver and a secretary. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band started playing guitar at 13, joining his first band the Castiles. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band formed a group in college called Steel Mill.. Steel Mill split up in 1971. The next band was Dr. Zoom and the Sonic Boom leading to the eventual formation of the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Band which is now Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and the E Street Band. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's music has been compared to Bob Dylan, with his early career having more of a cult following. With 1984's 'Born in the USA,' Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band brought his music to the masses. In November 1989 Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band told his band he no longer needed them and went solo for many years to reunite with the E Street Band in 1999.
