Tool front man, Maynard James has said that a full Tool tour is probable, and as shows continue to announce, the buzz continues to grow.
Tool was formed in 1989 in Los Angeles, when front man Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Adam Jones started jamming together. Soon after Danny Carey and Paul D’Amour joined the scene, and they began working on their own sound. In 1992, Tool released “opiate”. Since Tool released their first album, they have developed a sound that is both unique and heavy. Their music has been branded as “the thinking man’s metal”, and the lyrical genius of Keenan mixed with the support of Danny Carey’s percussion, D’Amour’s bass, and Jones guitar have combined to create pounding metal, and a cult following.
Tool is a seven time Grammy award nominee and a three time winner. Tool has released four studio albums and several EP’s as well. The most famous album may be “AEnema”, but the answer varies depending on which fan you speak too. Guitarist Adam Jones has also been named as the #75 greatest guitar player in Rolling Stone magazine.
